A red alert has been issued by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) due to dense fog, leading to a significant drop in horizontal visibility. This warning is effective from 6:15 AM to 8:30 AM on July 20. The NCM also announced a yellow alert from 4:30 AM to 8:30 AM in certain areas, highlighting the possibility of fog formation and further reduced visibility.
In response to the fog alert, Abu Dhabi Police has advised motorists to drive cautiously and follow the changing speed limits displayed on traffic boards.
Today’s weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy at times, with low clouds appearing over the eastern coast in the morning. By the afternoon, some convective clouds might form towards the east.
Temperatures are forecasted to range from 31℃ to 42℃ in Abu Dhabi and from 32℃ to 41℃ in Dubai. Humidity is expected to increase by night and into Sunday morning, particularly in coastal areas, potentially leading to mist formation. Light to moderate winds will prevail, occasionally freshening, with the sea conditions being slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
