Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk region, both in its northern and southern parts, is gearing up for an unusual weather event as temperatures have plummeted below zero degrees Celsius. This unexpected cold snap follows an unusually warm winter in the area, leaving residents eagerly anticipating the possibility of witnessing snowfall.
The State-run press agency, SPA, is closely monitoring the situation and has provided updates from various locations identified by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The NCM has mentioned the potential impact of a cold wave that could bring about snowfall and rain in some regions.
Meteorologists are predicting a significant drop in temperatures, along with the likelihood of fog formation in certain areas. Snowfall is anticipated in the highland areas of Tabuk, including Alqan, Ad-dhahr, and Jabal Al-Lawz, as well as in parts of the Northern Border region, specifically Turaif and Al-Qurayyat.
