Ramon Ang to shoulder medical costs, aid families of victims in NAIA Terminal 1 crash

New NAIA Infrastructure Corp. (NNIC) President Ramon S. Ang has pledged full support for the victims of Sunday’s tragic vehicular crash at the departure area of NAIA Terminal 1, vowing to cover all medical expenses and provide financial help to the bereaved families.

Ang assured the public that while investigations are ongoing, his priority is the immediate welfare of those affected. “Our priority now is to make sure the victims and their families receive the support and care they need,” he said in a statement.

Four individuals sustained injuries in the incident, while two others, including a 4-year-old girl, lost their lives after an SUV suddenly accelerated from a parked position, crashing through a barrier and into a crowd. The driver is currently in police custody.

NNIC is working closely with authorities to assist in the ongoing response and investigation. The company also extended its condolences to the families of the deceased and expressed hopes for the quick recovery of those injured.
