The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has announced that the UAE can anticipate a week of rainfall starting Saturday. The weather conditions, as forecasted by the NCM, will persist through to Wednesday, affecting various parts of the country.
According to the NCM, the expected weather change is the result of several atmospheric factors. Surface low pressure from the East, coupled with upper air low pressure and the influence of a Westward-moving jet stream, is set to introduce a stream of moist and cold air into the region. This mixture will foster the formation of clouds, particularly convective clouds, predominantly over the Eastern and Northern areas of the UAE.
The NCM has predicted that these weather patterns will likely result in light to moderate rain showers across scattered areas. However, some locations may experience heavy rainfall, albeit in limited regions.
During this rainy period, the forecast anticipates a fluctuation from partly cloudy to overcast skies at times, accompanied by chances of precipitation. The temperatures in coastal and internal regions are expected to drop as a result of the rain.
Outdoor enthusiasts should take note of the light to moderate winds anticipated throughout the days, which may intensify occasionally, raising dust and sand.
Temperature readings for today have seen a low of 16ºC and are expected to reach a high of 36ºC. The NCM advises residents to stay informed on the latest weather updates as they plan their weekly activities.
