Quezon City, the heart of Metro Manila, continues its reign as the wealthiest city in the Philippines. This revelation was made public on Tuesday in the recent report from the Commission on Audit (COA).
For the third year in a row, Quezon City has upheld its top rank. In 2022, the city’s assets were recorded at P443.406 billion, a slight dip from P451.007 billion in 2021. Following Quezon City, Makati ranks second with assets valued at P239.478 billion.
The top 10 richest cities in the Philippines are:

- Pasig City: P52.152 billion
- Taguig: P40.840 billion
- Mandaue: P34.231 billion
- Mandaluyong: P32.550 billion
- Cebu City: P30.545 billion

- Paranaque: P27.376 billion
On the municipal level, Carmona in Cavite is the richest with assets reaching P6.522 billion. This is followed by municipalities such as Limay, Silang, and Caluya, boasting billions in assets.
When it comes to provinces, Cebu stands unrivaled with a whopping P235.738 billion in assets, marking an increase from its 2021 figures. Rizal and Batangas remain consistent in their positions from the previous year.

The comprehensive 2022 COA report included data from 81 provinces, 147 cities, and 1,487 municipalities, along with the Bangsamoro government and its 27 municipalities.
