From April 12 to 14, 2025, QAT students bagged multiple medals at the Dubai II Round of the World Scholar’s Cup, held at Sunmarke School and The Indian High School Dubai. The event drew student teams from across the UAE and neighboring countries, competing in four rigorous categories: Team Debate, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Bowl, and Scholar’s Challenge.

Among the top achievers were Stephanie Lei Tan and Yvainne V. Nimer, who ranked Top 19 and Top 16 respectively in Creative Writing. Both students, along with Yasmin Aktham Mohd. Supporting their innovation-focused training was Mechatronic Engineer Lilac H. Schonberg, who guided the students in creative and interdisciplinary learning.

“These achievements are a testament to how innovation, critical thinking, and passion can flourish when students are guided and empowered. I’m proud to see them thrive not only academically but also as future problem-solvers and leaders,” Engr. Schonberg shared with The Global Filipino Magazine.

Adding to the school’s winning streak, John Lorenz S. Nunez received an Honorable Mention for his exceptional performance at the National Olympiad in Informatics Philippines (NOI.PH), held at Ateneo de Manila University from March 29 to 30, 2025.
