QAT Blended Learning Education ME marks 7 years of nurturing global learners

With a burst of color, culture, and unity, QAT Blended Learning Education ME celebrated its 7th Foundation Day — a milestone that stood as both a tribute to its journey and a promise for the years ahead. The gymnasium transformed into a vibrant field of flowers and festivity, as students in traditional costumes and sunflower-themed outfits filled the space with energy and pride.

The event, reminiscent of the Philippines’ Panagbenga Festival, highlighted growth, resilience, and the unfolding beauty of every learner. The young participants — representing multiple nationalities — performed traditional and contemporary dances, radiating confidence as their parents watched with joy and admiration.

Chancellor Engr. Li Schonberg, co-founder of QAT and a Filipina mechatronic and robotics engineer based in Abu Dhabi, expressed heartfelt gratitude and hope in her Foundation Day message:

“We witnessed something truly beautiful — not just performances, but the deep bond between parents and their children. Behind every child’s achievement is a parent’s sacrifice and gentle encouragement.”

She emphasized that the sunflower motif reflected the spirit of the school’s mission.

“We wore sunflowers to remind us that love always seeks the light — even on challenging days. Today, they didn’t just perform — they grew together, shined together, and reminded us that progress comes in unique and beautiful ways.”

The celebration also marked the preliminary introduction of QAT’s SPED learners, who are preparing to participate in the upcoming Paralympics Sports Day. These students — supported through QAT’s inclusive programs — are part of the school’s long-standing advocacy for neurodiverse education, an initiative championed by Engr. Schonberg through her Robotics for Autism and Unique Abilities Support Group (UASG) projects.
