A Jordanian prosecutor has formally indicted a suspect in the case of the murder of Mary Grace Santos, a female overseas Filipino worker (OFW). Santos was found deceased in the basement closet of her employer’s residence. This update was provided by Migrant Workers Officer-in-charge, Hans Leo Cacdac, via a social media announcement.
Cacdac informed that he had updated Santos’s family about the legal proceedings. “
In the case of slain Jordanian OFW Mary Grace Santos, we updated Nanay Santos today about the indictment by the Prosecutor of the accused perpetrator,” he stated in his post on Thursday.
Santos, 34, originally from Pampanga, Philippines, had been working abroad as a caregiver for eight years, primarily to support her two children, including one with a congenital heart condition. She had been reported missing since October 11. The suspect in this tragic incident is reported to be an underage Egyptian individual, who is alleged to have raped and killed Santos.
