The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) has confirmed that the private sector in the UAE will observe the Eid Al Adha holiday from Saturday, June 15, to Tuesday, June 18.
The holiday schedule includes one paid day off for Arafah Day on Saturday, June 15, followed by three days off for Eid Al Adha, from Sunday, June 16, to Tuesday, June 18. Public sector employees will also have the same holiday period.
The announcement follows the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah crescent Moon on June 7 in Abu Dhabi, marking the beginning of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah. Similarly, Saudi Arabia declared the start of Dhul Hijjah on June 7, with Eid Al Adha commencing on June 16. Other countries such as Oman, India, and Pakistan will celebrate the festival starting on June 17.
