President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is set to welcome Carlos Yulo, the 2024 Paris Olympics gold medalist, along with other distinguished Filipino Olympians, at Malacañan Palace on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
The Olympians, including Yulo, will arrive in the afternoon at Villamor Airbase, where they will be greeted by their families. They will then proceed to the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) for a formal reception by government officials, followed by a heroes’ parade through key areas of Manila. The parade will culminate at Malacañan Palace.
President Marcos, together with First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos and the First Family, will host a special program at the Palace to honor the athletes. The President will personally commend their exceptional contributions to Philippine sports and present them with well-deserved incentives in recognition of their remarkable performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
