President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has approved a one-time service recognition incentive (SRI) of up to P20,000 for qualified government employees. The incentive was authorized through Administrative Order No. 27, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on December 12, 2024.
The directive acknowledges the significant contributions of government personnel in advancing the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 and the President’s 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda. Eligible employees can expect the release of the incentive starting December 15.
To qualify, employees must be in government service as of November 30, 2024, and have rendered at least four months of satisfactory service, including under alternative work arrangements. The SRI will be uniformly distributed, while those with less than four months of service will receive a pro-rated amount.
Excluded from the incentive are consultants, contractual workers, student interns, and others engaged through job orders or contracts of service. The Department of Budget and Management is tasked with issuing additional guidelines for the order’s implementation.
