On September 26, 2024, the third batch of 28 overseas Filipinos, including OFWs, minors, and pregnant women, were successfully repatriated to the Philippines under the UAE Amnesty Program. The repatriation was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, Migrant Workers Offices, and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.
The Philippine government provided support with documentation, airfare, and financial assistance to aid the repatriates’ reintegration. Ambassador Alfonso A. Ver and Consul General Marford M. Angeles expressed their best wishes and facilitated the process at Dubai International Airport, ensuring a smooth return for the repatriates.
