A pre-kindergarten teacher is facing backlash after parents accused her of verbally and physically mistreating students, with the alleged incidents caught on CCTV.
According to a report by 24 Oras, the incidents took place on February 24. Footage showed the teacher losing patience with a student struggling to count numbers.
“Sabi ko bilangin mo lang! Bilangin mo lahat ‘yan!” she shouted before slapping the child’s hand. The student appeared visibly distressed.
The child’s mother expressed her disappointment, saying she initially thought it was a minor disciplinary action. “Parang emotional and mental trauma ang ginawa mong trauma doon sa bata,” she said, revealing that her son has autism.
She questioned why the teacher handled the situation that way, emphasizing that she uses a more patient approach at home. “Masakit for me kasi may autism siya tapos ina-sure naman nila sa amin na tumatanggap sila ng may ganoon na bata,” she added.
In another recorded instance, the teacher was seen berating a student struggling with addition. Instead of offering support, she mocked the child.
“Sige, mag-ganyan ka na lang wag ka nang magsagot. Doon ka! Masyado kang pabebe ha!” the teacher was heard saying.
The incidents have sparked outrage, with parents demanding accountability from the school.
