Multiple neighbourhoods in Sharjah experienced a widespread power outage on Friday mid-day. Affected areas include Al Majaz, Al Tawun, and Al Nahda.
Residents of the areas took to social media to express their concerns. N. Malik, a resident of Al Majaz, told Khaleej Times, “There is no power in our area for 15 minutes. Initially, I thought it was a technical problem at my flat but when I checked with the watchman, I found there was no electricity in our entire area.”
It remains unclear what caused the outage, and authorities have yet to release a statement. Residents are urged to stay tuned for updates and to take necessary precautions while the issue is being resolved.
