Pope Francis, who has been hospitalized for two weeks due to double pneumonia, is in stable condition, according to the Vatican on Saturday.
The 88-year-old pontiff experienced a breathing crisis on Friday but has since shown no further complications. Doctors confirmed he continues to receive oxygen support but has no fever.
The Vatican shared that Pope Francis has been alternating between using a non-invasive oxygen mask and high-flow oxygen therapy. His vital signs, including heart rate and blood pressure, have remained steady.
Despite his condition, the Pope has been eating, participating in respiratory therapy, and staying mentally alert. He also received the Eucharist and spent time in prayer on Saturday.
While his health has not worsened, the Vatican said his prognosis remains cautious.
