Police serve arrest warrant on Apollo Quiboloy at KOJC Dome in Davao

On Monday, the Philippine National Police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) conducted a raid at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City to serve an arrest warrant against its leader, Apollo Quiboloy.

The raid at the KOJC Dome in Buhangin District began around 5 a.m., following an agreement with Quiboloy’s legal counsel. Four teams, each comprising six personnel, were permitted to search the premises.

Quiboloy is accused of violating multiple sections of Republic Act 7610, the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act. He also faces a non-bailable charge of Qualified Human Trafficking under Republic Act 9208, as amended, in a Pasig City court. Both Davao and Pasig courts have issued warrants for his arrest.

In a bid to prevent a miscarriage of justice, the Supreme Court recently transferred Quiboloy’s criminal cases from Davao City to Quezon City.
