The National Police Commission (Napolcom) confirmed that Patrolman Francis Steve Fontillas, who made threats against the International Criminal Court (ICC) and Interpol, is currently at large.
Fontillas, also known as “Fonts Stv Vlogs” on Facebook, posted a statement in early March warning of war if the ICC and Interpol attempted to take action against former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Napolcom Commissioner Ralph Calinisan stated that Fontillas has not reported to his post at the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and is being ordered to surrender.
Authorities revealed that Fontillas had previously been asked to undergo a mental health evaluation, which he repeatedly refused.
Following an investigation, Napolcom filed administrative charges against Fontillas for grave misconduct and conduct unbecoming of a police officer. Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has also charged him with inciting to sedition.
If found guilty, Fontillas could face suspension, demotion, or outright dismissal from the police force.
