Authorities in Bohol are investigating the drowning of a one-year-old boy in a pail of water.
The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Barangay San Isidro, Sagbayan. According to an ABS-CBN News, citing the initial report from Sagbayan police, the boy had been playing outside the house with his siblings and neighbors while his parents were having breakfast inside.
“Someone noticed the child playing with the water-filled pail and later found him leaning headfirst into it,” stated Police Capt. Eric Binangbang in his report.
The boy was found with a pulse and rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The youngest of five siblings, the boy’s death has prompted authorities to conduct further investigations to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
