Great news for Filipino travelers! Taiwan has extended its visa-free entry program for the Philippines until July 31, 2025. This means Filipinos can enjoy a vacation in Taiwan for up to 14 days without applying for a visa. The program starts on August 1, 2024.
The visa exemption applies to all Filipinos except for those working on airplanes or ships who are entering Taiwan for duty.
Travelers from Thailand and Brunei can also benefit from this 14-day visa-free perk.
To be eligible, Filipinos will need a passport valid for at least 6 months, proof of accommodation in Taiwan, contact details while in the country, and evidence of sufficient funds.
Taiwanian authorities implemented this extension to support their “New Southbound Policy” which aims to strengthen ties with Southeast Asian nations, including the Philippines.
This visa-free program is an extension of the one that resumed in September 2022 and was previously set to expire in July 2024.
