Last week’s FAST5 episode of the Emirates Draw saw participants from across the globe converge with tales of love, dreams, and resilience. Among the fortunate winners was Morris Phillip Apresto from Marikina City, Philippines, who took home a substantial AED 75,000.
Other notable winners included Emirati Abed Obaid Alshamsi with AED 50,000 and Tapan Das from Calcutta, India, who secured AED 25,000.
Morris’s journey began in 2016 when he moved from the Philippines to Dubai in search of a brighter future. The city blessed him with love, dreams, and eventually, a family. Today, at the age of 41, he works as a concierge in a Dubai hotel, where he has built a life with his wife and son.
The news of winning AED 75,000 was an exhilarating moment for Morris. Confirming the win brought joy and a sense of gratitude. “With my son’s birthday around the corner, this win is perfectly timed. We can now celebrate back home in the Philippines,” shared an elated Morris.
While Morris intends to use his prize to become debt-free and invest in his son’s education, the Emirates Draw continues to touch lives, making dreams come true for many more like him.
