A 46-year-old Filipina, Christina David, tragically died after a stolen Mercedes collided with her Tesla in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, California, over the weekend.
According to a GMA News report, authorities identified the suspect as a 40-year-old man, whose name has not been disclosed. Police were pursuing the stolen Mercedes when it struck David’s white Tesla with such force that the roof was ripped off. The Tesla also hit two other vehicles, injuring their passengers.
According to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner, David, a commercial mortgage professional, died at the scene. The suspect sustained only minor injuries and is now facing vehicular homicide charges.
David is survived by her husband and two children.
