Pinay Ikaw Na marks 10th anniversary and celebrates women’s day in Bahrain

Pinay Ikaw Na (PIN), a leading organization supporting the empowerment of Filipino women, celebrated International Women’s Day alongside its 10th founding anniversary last 21 March, 2025. The event, held at the Downtown Rotana in Manama, was a momentous occasion that also saw the swearing-in of the organization’s new set of officers, marking a significant milestone in its decade-long journey.

The PIN Ghabga which was attended by more than 200 visitors was a reminder on the collective power of Filipino women, who persevere to overcome obstacles and contribute meaningfully to the community.

Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain, Her Excellency Anne Jalandoni-On Luis, graced the celebration and extended her warmest greetings to the organization. In her address, Ambassador Louis expressed her appreciation to the officers and members of PIN for their collaboration with the embassy in organizing a skills training seminar for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) which demonstrates a commitment to their welfare. Her message highlighted the importance of such initiatives in uplifting migrant workers lives and reinforcing their contributions to the Philippines.

One of the evening’s highlights was the oath-taking ceremony, which formally initiated the new officers of Pinay Ikaw Na. This significant moment marked the beginning of a new era for the organization. The ceremony symbolized the transition of leadership and the commitment of the new officers to serve the community. With fresh leadership led by Dinah E. Sta. Ana its president, the organization aims to enhance its impact and continue its mission of support for Filipino women in Bahrain.

During the occasion, the highly anticipated Inang Pinay 2025 pageant concluded in a spectacular celebration of Filipino mothers in Bahrain.

After an evening of inspiring performances and heartfelt moments. Jennie Pastrana was crowned as the Grand Winner of Inang Pinay 2025. Her story of resilience, dedication to her family, and involvement in her community earned her the coveted title. 1st Runner-Up is Adelaine Legaspi. Her unwavering commitment to her family and her career made her the first runner-up, solidifying her place as one of the most honorable Filipina mothers in Bahrain.  Dhela Solidad earned the title of 2nd Runner-Up for her inspiring efforts in community outreach and her strong leadership role in both her family and professional life. With a passion for advocacy and family, Princess Canto took home the 3rd Runner-Up position, showcasing her dedication to making a positive impact. Olive Aguilar rounded out the top five, earning the 4th Runner-Up spot for her outstanding contributions to her family and her commitment to a significant cause.

These incredible women were celebrated not just for their beauty and poise, but for the strength, grace, and dedication they bring to their families, careers, and communities. Their stories serve as a powerful reminder of the value and importance of Filipina mothers in Bahrain and beyond.

The pageant director identified as Ms. Jodel Naguit is a prominent figure in Bahrain’s Filipino community, recognized for her multifaceted career as a former model, philanthropist, and esteemed pageant director and choreographer. Her contributions to the community are extensive, particularly in the realm of pageantry. She has directed several popular pageants, including Miss Philippines-Bahrain, Mutya ng Pilipinas Bahrain and Mrs. Inang Pinay.  She has won multiple titles in the Philippines, most notably Ms. Philippines-Bahrain 2006.

As Pinay Ikaw Na enters its second decade, the organization looks forward to further advancing its mission of empowering and uplifting the voices of Filipino women across the Kingdom of Bahrain through its various programs and charity works.

The occasion was also attended by the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) Officer In Charge (OIC), Ms. Celia V. Cabadonga and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Welfare Officer Ms. Juvilyn Anns Gumabay.
