A commercial pilot, Hana Mohsin Khan, experienced the swift efficiency of Dubai’s lost and found services when she was recently reunited with her favourite watch.
Flying out of Dubai after a regular flight, Khan had unintentionally left her cherished Coach watch at a security check counter, only realizing her mistake while on her way back to India.
Despite being skeptical about its retrieval, the pilot reached out to the ground staff in Dubai. After three swift email exchanges, the airport’s Lost and Found Department was able to locate her missing watch.
Hana, who frequents Dubai monthly, visited the Lost and Found office on Sunday, September 3, and was promptly reunited with her timepiece. “I’m in awe that I got my watch back with such little hassle!” Khan expressed, emphasizing the ease and security synonymous with life in Dubai.
This incident isn’t unique. Over the years, many have commended the Dubai Police for their exemplary efforts in locating and returning lost possessions, from invaluable items to daily essentials, to their rightful owners, both local and international.
Hana, originally from Uttar Pradesh, spent 16 years of her early life in Jeddah and Riyadh. In a post, she shared her experiences of the Middle East’s outstanding law and order, saying, “Growing up in the Middle East, it took us a long time to remember to lock our car and house doors. Thank you, Dubai!”
According to a recent report from Numbeo, the cities of Abu Dhabi, Ajman, and Dubai are ranked among the world’s top five safest cities. This distinction further cements the UAE’s reputation as a haven of security and stability, appealing to both residents and international visitors.
