Philmar Alipayo covers up controversial ‘224’ tattoo linked to past issue

Professional surfer Philmar Alipayo has officially moved on from a previous controversy by replacing his much-talked-about “224” tattoo with a new design.

A recent Instagram story shared by his friend Jared Jahleel Payao revealed that Philmar has already concealed the tattoo, which was previously located on his right arm.

The tattoo stirred public attention months ago after it was revealed that Philmar got the “love couple” ink—meaning “2Today, 2Tomorrow, 4Forever”—with a female friend, something his fiancée Andi Eigenmann wasn’t aware of at the time. Though Andi clarified there was no infidelity involved, she expressed disappointment and called out the female friend for crossing the line.

Since then, Philmar has taken steps to repair his relationship with Andi. Back in February, the couple, along with their kids Lilo and Koa, were seen at a tattoo studio in Siargao, each getting fresh ink—marking a new chapter in their journey together.
