Filipino singer Sofronio Vasquez has achieved a major milestone by winning the prestigious singing competition The Voice USA.
Expressing gratitude on social media, Sofronio said, “Thank you so much to my Filipinos everywhere and in America who gave so much love and support,” shortly after making it to the Top 5 finalists.
His journey to victory included standout performances, such as his rendition of Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream,” which captivated both the audience and the coaches. He also delivered a memorable duet with Jeremy Beloate, singing The Police’s classic hit “Every Breath You Take.”
Before rising to international fame, Sofronio was a contestant on the Philippines’ Tawag ng Tanghalan on It’s Showtime, where he reached the semifinals.
