Philippines’ richest grow wealth to $86B, Sy siblings still on top

The combined fortunes of the country’s 50 wealthiest have climbed over 6% to $86 billion in the past year, according to Forbes Asia’s latest Philippines’ 50 Richest List.

The Sy siblings, heirs to retail and property empire SM Group, kept their position as the nation’s wealthiest despite seeing the steepest dollar drop in net worth — losing $1.2 billion. Their flagship, SM Investments Corp., recorded a 7% rise in consolidated net income to ₱82.6 billion in 2024, with first-half 2025 figures showing steady growth at ₱42.6 billion.

Ports and gaming mogul Enrique Razon Jr. stayed in second place with his wealth growing to $11.5 billion, bolstered by a 66% surge in International Container Terminal Services Inc.’s net income last year. Property developer Manuel Villar remained third with $11 billion after launching Villar City, a massive 3,500-hectare mixed-use project.

Ramon Ang ranked fourth with $3.75 billion, followed by Isidro Consunji and siblings of DMCI Holdings with $3.7 billion. The biggest percentage gain went to Converge ICT Solutions Inc. founders Dennis Anthony and Maria Grace Uy.

Forbes Asia based the rankings on stock prices and exchange rates as of July 18, 2025, drawing from shareholding disclosures, financial statements, and market data.
