The Philippines is once again in the global spotlight as it secures nominations in three categories at the 2024 International Travel Awards. The country is competing for the titles of Best Beach Destination, Best Island Destination, and Best Wedding Destination.
Filipinos have the opportunity to cast their votes online on the International Travel Awards website, with voting closing today, August 15. In addition to public votes, a jury will assess the nominees, and the winners will be revealed during a gala event in Dubai on September 28.
Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco expressed her gratitude for the nominations, attributing the recognition to the hard work and dedication of the nation’s tourism industry. “We are grateful for the global recognition of the quality and performance of the Philippine tourism industry,” she stated.
The Philippines has consistently earned praise from travel publications and authorities for its stunning beaches, dive sites, and other natural wonders, further solidifying its reputation as a top travel destination.
