The popular ABS-CBN noontime show “It’s Showtime” is set to premiere on GMA Network starting April 6, as announced by the networks on Wednesday.
The partnership was solidified during a contract signing ceremony at the GMA studios, attended by top executives and hosts of “It’s Showtime.”
Representatives from GMA Network included Chairman Atty. Felipe Gozon, President and CEO Gilberto Duavit, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe Yalong, and Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and GMA Films President and CEO Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes. ABS-CBN was represented by Chairman Mark Lopez, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, Chief Operating Officer Cory Vidanes, and Group Chief Financial Officer Rick Tan.
Expressing their excitement, GMA Network welcomed “It’s Showtime” as a valuable addition to their lineup, catering to Kapuso viewers. Similarly, ABS-CBN and the show’s team extended gratitude to GMA for the opportunity to reach a broader audience and continue spreading entertainment and joy.
The joint statement from both networks conveyed appreciation to loyal viewers for their steadfast support over nearly 15 years. They also expressed eagerness to engage with new audiences as “It’s Showtime” embarks on this new journey, accessible on various platforms including GMA, GTV, and GMA Pinoy TV.
Before this collaboration, “It’s Showtime” had been airing on GMA-owned GTV since July 2023. Now entering its 14th year, the show boasts a stellar lineup of hosts including Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, and more. Its current segments encompass a range of entertainment, from singing competitions to dating shows, promising to continue delivering memorable moments to viewers.
