The Philippine Teachers Association Bahrain (PTAB) recently concluded its 2nd Research Conference 2024 on March 1 at Ramee Grand Hotel, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. Under the theme “Education FOR the Next Generation Curriculum: Transformation, Innovation, and Impact,” the event facilitated insightful discussions and interactions.
Dr. Lucy Bailey, Dean of Bahrain Teachers College at the University of Bahrain, graced the occasion as the plenary speaker, delivering thought-provoking sessions on global competence and the imperative focus on 21st-century skills. The emphasis was on developing both teachers and students to be globally competent amidst the evolving educational landscape.
President of PTAB, Dr. Junifer Abatayo, underscored the significance of engaging in diverse communities of good practice and enhancing teachers’ professional development. PTAB remains dedicated to providing high-quality professional development activities, fostering skill development, and introducing new concepts and applications to help teachers realize their full potential.
Dr. Kate Ledesma, the conference chair, expressed gratitude for the support received from presenters, researchers, teachers, and participants representing various academic institutions in Bahrain.
