Philippine Society for Quality expands globally with Middle East launch in Dubai

Dubai became the site of a new milestone for Filipino professionals in the region as the Philippine Society for Quality – Middle East (PSQ ME) formally began operations on February 21, 2026 at the Coca-Cola Arena.

The newly formed body is the first overseas organization linked to the Philippine Society for Quality, Inc., a professional group founded in 1969 in the Philippines. Its establishment in the United Arab Emirates signals an effort to bring structured quality management principles to a broader international community of practitioners.

During the ceremony, Ambrosio Brian F. Enciso III, Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, joined PSQ Council Advisor Dr. Rey Fremista and PSQ President Dr. Zandra Maningas in marking the occasion. In their remarks, they described the launch as more than a ceremonial opening, emphasizing that excellence is not confined by geography and that quality standards provide a common ground for professionals across different sectors and generations.

The event also included the oath-taking of the organization’s first Executive Council. Ana Balbon assumed leadership as Founder and President. Supporting her are Noel De Guzman as Vice President for Operations; Oliver Navato as Vice President for Partnerships and Sponsorship; Jemelyn Danao as Vice President for Programs and Continuing Professional Development; Racel Canaria as Vice President for Communications and Branding; Camille Erispe as Vice President for Legal and Compliance; and Rhestlyn Stephanie Dimalanta as Treasurer.

PSQ ME positions itself as a professional platform aimed at strengthening workplace systems, leadership practices, and organizational standards to promote effectiveness, ethical conduct, and long-term sustainability. While aligned with the long-standing Philippine-based society, the Middle East organization operates through PSQ Middle East LLC, a UAE Free Zone Limited Liability Company, and functions as a legally distinct entity from the Philippine Society for Quality, Inc. in the Philippines.
