Philippine Embassy in UAE to close on February 9th for Chinese New Year

The Philippine Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced its closure on February 9th, Friday, to observe the Chinese New Year. According to an advisory released on Wednesday, the Embassy will be closed to the public on that day in accordance with Proclamation No. 453.

During this temporary closure, overseas Filipinos in the UAE can still avail various consular services at the Embassy, including passport application/renewal, notarization/authentication of documents, registration of vital events like birth and marriage, visa applications, and registration/reactivation for overseas voting.

Additionally, the Philippine Consulate-General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will also be closed on February 9th in observance of the holiday. The Consulate announced on Facebook that they will provide emergency assistance to those in need during their closure, with contact information provided for consular matters, ATN matters (non-OFWs), and assistance to OFW workers.
