The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi has joined the global Catholic community in mourning the death of His Holiness Pope Francis, expressing heartfelt condolences on behalf of Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates.
In an official statement released Monday, the Embassy paid tribute to the Pope’s deep compassion and commitment to humanity, noting how his influence resonated far beyond the walls of the Church.
“The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, together with the Catholic faithful of the Filipino Community in the United Arab Emirates, expresses its profound sorrow on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis,” the statement read.
It went on to highlight Pope Francis’ impact as a moral and spiritual leader who championed love, mercy, and human dignity. “The Holy Father’s enduring legacy of compassion, humility, and servant leadership touched countless lives around the world,” the Embassy stated, calling him “a testament to the power of love, mercy, and human dignity — values that continue to inspire the Filipino people and the global community.”
The Embassy also encouraged collective remembrance of the Pontiff’s ministry, affirming solidarity in grief and gratitude. “We join the world in mourning his passing and in honoring his extraordinary life and ministry,” it said.
