Philippine Embassy in Lebanon warns Filipinos of rising crime, urges caution

The Philippine Embassy in Lebanon has advised Filipinos in the country to take extra precautions amid a reported rise in criminal activities. As Lebanon works to recover from its conflict with Israel, concerns over public safety have intensified, prompting local authorities to enhance security measures.

In its advisory, the embassy cited reports of increasing crime incidents, urging Filipino nationals residing in or traveling to Lebanon to remain cautious. To address these concerns, the Lebanese government has ramped up patrols, deployed additional security personnel, and strengthened surveillance efforts to ensure public safety.

Filipinos in Lebanon are encouraged to stay alert, avoid high-risk areas, follow local regulations, and limit unnecessary travel, especially at night. The embassy also advised securing personal belongings and reporting any suspicious activity to local authorities.
