Philippine Embassy extends aid to OFW whose home was hit in Israel missile attack

A Filipino worker caught in the middle of the recent missile strikes in Israel is now safe and being assisted by the Philippine Embassy, which has pledged to provide aid and psychosocial support following the incident.

The OFW, whose identity has not been disclosed, reportedly took shelter during the missile alert and survived the attack. However, her home sustained damage and she has since been relocated to a hotel in Tel Aviv, according to a report by Mao dela Cruz on Super Radyo dzBB.

The embassy confirmed it will extend assistance to the OFW in the coming days and reminded all Filipinos in Israel to take immediate cover in designated shelters during missile alerts for their safety.

Amid escalating tensions, Israel and Iran exchanged missiles and airstrikes over the weekend, resulting in at least two deaths and dozens of injuries, according to a Reuters report.

In a separate update, GMA Integrated News reporter JP Soriano cited the Philippine Embassy as saying four other Filipinos were injured in the ongoing conflict. The embassy remains on high alert and is closely monitoring developments to assess if more Filipinos are affected.
