The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai is celebrating its 21st anniversary, marking over two decades of public service to Filipinos in the UAE. In a statement released by the Consul General, the institution reaffirmed its mission to serve the Filipino people and reflected on the milestone as a shared achievement with the community.
“Twenty-one years ago, the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai opened its doors with a singular mission: to serve the Filipino people—those who dared to dream beyond our shores, labored with heart and purpose, and carried the motherland in their every step,” the message reads.
Consul General Marford Angeles emphasized that the celebration is not solely about the institution but about the collective journey of Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. “This milestone belongs not to the institution alone but to every Filipino in Dubai and the Northern Emirates who has walked through our doors, sought our assistance, and allowed us to be part of your journey,” he stated.
The Consul General highlighted the enduring values of integrity, compassion, and service excellence that have guided the Consulate since its inception. He reiterated their continued efforts to improve public service, stating, “As your Consulate, we continually find ways to enhance service delivery, listen more closely to our people’s needs, and build stronger bridges between government and community.”
Acknowledging the resilience of Filipinos amid various challenges, Angeles praised their unity and generosity. “You have organized, advocated, and looked after one another. Through your work, talent, and generosity, you have uplifted the name of the Philippines.”
Looking to the future, he affirmed the Consulate’s commitment to evolve alongside the community it serves: “We remain steadfast in our commitment to being a Consulate that listens, evolves, and serves with dignity and dedication.”
The message ended with words of gratitude and pride: “Maraming salamat po sa inyong tiwala at suporta. Mabuhay ang Pilipino sa UAE! Mabuhay ang Konsulado! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!”
