Philippine Business Council-Dubai ushers in new leadership with formal oath-taking at consulate

The Philippine Business Council – Dubai and Northern Emirates (PBC-DNE) officially introduced its newly elected Board Members and sub-committee officers in a formal oath-taking ceremony held at the Philippine Consulate General. This event reaffirmed the council’s commitment to strengthening the Filipino business community in the region.

Incoming Vice-Chairman Michael da Costa opened the program with a warm welcome, setting a positive outlook for the council’s future. Architect Asiyah Monjardin, the newly appointed Chairwoman, followed with an inspiring message, outlining her vision for the council’s sustained growth and impact.

Philippine Consul General, Hon. Marford Angeles, highlighted the importance of ethical leadership and urged the newly appointed officers to lead with integrity and a genuine dedication to service, emphasizing that their leadership should leave a lasting legacy.

The ceremony’s key moment was the formal oath-taking of the Board of Directors alongside the heads of various sub-committees:

  • League of Freight Forwarders (LFF) – Led by Ms. Rumelyn Aribon
  • League of Food and Beverage Entrepreneurs (LFBE) – Led by Ms. Chaida Das
  • TRIBE – A newly established initiative, led by Mr. Bethoven Filomeno, representing diverse business sectors within PBC-DNE.

Outgoing Chairman Edwin Duria expressed his full support for the incoming leadership, offering valuable insights to ensure a smooth transition.

This event marked a historic milestone as it was the first time that PBC-DNE’s leadership and sub-committees were officially recognized in the presence of a government official and the Philippine flag.
