The Philippine Business Council Dubai and Northern Emirates (PBC- DNE) successfully hosted its inaugural event under the new board, a comprehensive financial literacy session titled “Freedom 101,” yesterday. The session was designed to empower PBC-DNE members at all career stages with practical skills and strategies for effective financial management, informed investment decisions, and building a secure financial future.
The “Freedom 101” program was expertly delivered by Dr. Ben Lebig Jr., Ms. Charry Dela Cruz, and Ms. Ma. Francia Angeles, who shared their extensive experience and expertise in personal finance and investments.
Members from diverse professional backgrounds, ranging from seasoned CEOs to those just
beginning their careers, actively participated in the session. The curriculum was designed to be accessible and beneficial for all attendees, regardless of their prior financial experience.
Key areas of personal finance covered during the session included:
- Budgeting and money management techniques
- Understanding various investment options
- Strategies for building wealth and achieving financial security
This impactful financial literacy initiative was spearheaded by the Philippine Business Council Dubai and Northern Emirates, with the Finance Director, Mr. Robert Capluong, stating, “We wanted to
create this event for the employees and staff of all PBC members so they can take the first step towards financial freedom and learn how to invest and prepare for their future.” The event was initiated by LFBE (League of Food and Beverage Entrepreneurs), a subcommittee of PBC-DNE, and proudly supported by Burjuman BHUB. Their collective commitment to empowering individuals and fostering financial literacy contributed significantly to the session’s success.
