Philippine Airlines (PAL) has issued a public advisory warning against fraudulent Facebook pages promoting a PHP168 travel deal allegedly from the airline. The advisory was released on PAL’s official Facebook page, clarifying that the advertised offer is a scam.
In the statement, PAL emphasized that they are taking legal action to shut down the deceptive account. The airline urged customers to rely on official channels for accurate information and legitimate promotional deals. PAL’s authorized announcements and promotions are available on their official website, www.philippineairlines.com, and the official PAL Facebook page.
“PAL encourages the public to notify or report any dubious website or social media account utilizing the airline’s name by emailing us at wecare@philippineairlines.com or calling PAL hotline 028855-8888,” the advisory stated.
The warning included an image of the fake promotion, highlighting the text “FAKE” across it to alert the public. The deceptive advertisement claimed that customers could get six free flights for only PHP168, urging people to act quickly due to limited availability.
