Philippine Airlines (PAL) has issued a stern advisory reminding passengers that the use of fake, tampered, or falsified identification (ID) documents at airport check-in counters is strictly prohibited. The airline highlighted a recent increase in attempts by passengers to present fraudulent IDs, emphasizing that such actions are considered serious offenses.
“We have recently observed a rise in attempts to present fake IDs at airport check-in counters. Please be reminded that such acts are serious offenses and will not be tolerated,” the advisory stated.
The airline further stressed that individuals caught using fake IDs would not be permitted to check in or board their flights. Instead, they would be immediately referred to law enforcement for criminal investigation and possible prosecution under applicable laws.
“Individuals using fake IDs will not be allowed to check in and/or board a flight. Instead, they will immediately be handed over to law enforcement authorities for criminal investigation and prosecution under applicable laws,” the advisory continued.
To ensure a smooth and secure travel experience, PAL strongly urged all passengers to carry only valid government-issued IDs when traveling.
