According to the latest On-Time Performance Monthly Report by Cirium, Philippine Airlines (PAL) emerged as the most punctual airline in the Asia-Pacific region for January. Cirium, a reputable aviation analytics source based in London, revealed that PAL achieved an impressive 86.85 percent on-time performance last month.
This marks a significant improvement for PAL, with a nearly 4-point increase from their December performance, where they secured the second position in the region. In November, the flag carrier had also shown commendable performance, ranking third with an 83 percent on-time record.
Following PAL, AirAsia clinched the second position in the region’s on-time performance rankings, trailed by Vietnam Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Thai AirAsia.
In response to this achievement, PAL President and Chief Operating Officer, Capt. Stanley K. Ng, expressed gratitude to the airline’s employees for their dedication in enhancing operations. He also acknowledged the government’s efforts in optimizing airspace, which contributed to PAL’s increased efficiency.
“Philippine Airlines will continue to work in unison with government and industry partners to sustain and boost on-time performance in the interest of the flying public and the travel and tourism industry at large,” Capt. Ng stated.
