In a region where flight schedules are routinely tested by congestion and weather disruptions, Philippine Airlines emerged as the most punctual airline in Asia-Pacific for 2025, posting an on-time arrival rate of 83.12 percent—the highest recorded among carriers in the region.
The distinction is based on independently audited flight data compiled by Cirium, a global aviation analytics firm whose On-Time Performance program measures airline reliability using standardized, transparent methodologies across millions of flights worldwide.
Now in its 17th year, Cirium’s benchmarking system is regarded across the aviation sector as the primary reference for punctuality, offering year-on-year comparisons that airlines, regulators, and airports use to assess operational performance.
Philippine Airlines attributed the result to sustained coordination across multiple units, including flight operations, engineering, airport services, ground handling teams, and corporate support functions, emphasizing that punctuality is treated as a shared responsibility across the organization.
“This achievement reflects the discipline, professionalism, and teamwork of our entire organization, particularly our frontline teams who operate our flights safely and reliably every day,” said Lucio C. Tan III, President and Chief Operating Officer of PAL Holdings, Inc.. “It also reflects what can be achieved through strong collaboration with our private sector partners, including MacroAsia Corporation, Lufthansa Technik Philippines, New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation, Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc., and LIPAD Corp, as well as the continued support of our government partners.”
The recognition comes at a time when Asia-Pacific airlines are managing continued capacity constraints and increasingly complex operating conditions, with Philippine Airlines maintaining its focus on operational reliability as part of its broader service commitments.
