Philippine Airlines (PAL) is strengthening its Cebu hub with the launch of direct flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, starting May 2.
The flag carrier announced that the Cebu–Ho Chi Minh City route will operate three times a week, with flights every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Return flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Cebu are scheduled every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
According to PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Stanley K. Ng, the new service aims to boost tourism and enhance Cebu’s status as a key business and leisure gateway, while further strengthening ties between Vietnam and the Philippines.
The airline will use Airbus A321 aircraft for the new route, offering both Business Class and Economy Class seating for up to 199 passengers.
As part of its broader expansion, PAL is also increasing its Manila–Hanoi–Manila service to daily flights.
Meanwhile, PAL Holdings’ shares remained steady at P4.84 apiece on Thursday.
