Philippine Airlines (PAL) has been recognized as the most punctual airline in the Asia-Pacific region for April 2025, according to the latest on-time performance report from aviation analytics firm Cirium.
PAL achieved an impressive on-time arrival rate of 86.07 percent, outpacing major flag carriers from countries like Japan, Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. The ranking is a significant improvement from the airline’s performance in the previous months, where it posted 81.98 percent in March and 73.95 percent in February.
The London-based Cirium defines on-time arrival as flights arriving within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time. PAL’s on-time departure rate also remained strong at 83.55 percent, while the airline achieved an 81.11 percent rating under the “within block time” category, which tracks flights completed within their planned duration.
Throughout April, PAL operated a total of 9,985 flights, with a completion rate of 99.41 percent—indicating minimal cancellations. Additionally, Cirium was able to monitor 99.84 percent of PAL’s flights, solidifying the airline’s reputation for reliability and punctuality in the region.
