Philippine Airlines (PAL) will expand its direct service to Seattle to five times a week beginning November 25, 2025, as it ramps up efforts to strengthen ties with the U.S. market.
The airline confirmed that new flights from Manila to Seattle will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, joining the existing Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday schedule. This move comes just over a year since the route was first launched in October 2024.
PAL President Richard Nuttall emphasized the strategic value of the expansion, calling the U.S. market a vital part of the airline’s global network. “We are focusing strongly on developing this growing market to help Americans plan their vacation trips to the Philippines and other Asian countries, to open up more opportunities for businesses… and for Filipino Americans to reunite more often with their families back in the home country,” he said.
ABS-CBN News also reported that the Seattle route remains the only non-stop connection between the Philippines and the U.S. Pacific Northwest—a region with a significant Filipino population and strong business potential.
Amid global uncertainties, PAL is staying the course on its growth strategy. The airline is set to welcome its first Airbus A350-1000 before the year ends, part of a wider fleet upgrade aimed at accommodating rising travel demand.
In a separate interview with ABS-CBN News, PAL Holdings Vice President Captain Stanley K. Ng said the company is also working on improving customer service to elevate the overall travel experience.
