PH gov’t workers to receive year-end bonus and P5,000 cash gift starting November

Government employees are set to receive their year-end bonus and cash gift as early as the first payroll of November 2025, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) confirmed.

According to Budget Circular No. 2024-3, eligible personnel will receive a year-end bonus equal to one month of their basic salary based on their October 31 pay, plus a P5,000 cash gift.

“Pursuant to Budget Circular No. 2024-3, the year-end bonus and P5,000 cash gift will be released with the first agency payroll of November 2025,” Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said.

The DBM noted that over 1.85 million civilian and uniformed personnel across the country will benefit. For the upcoming release, P63.69 billion has been set aside for bonuses and P9.24 billion for cash gifts.

The agency also emphasized that funds were fully released at the start of the fiscal year to ensure timely processing by government offices. Under current rules, employees must have served at least four months from January 1 and remain in service as of October 31 to qualify.

Pangandaman urged agencies to distribute the benefits promptly, stressing the importance of recognizing public service.

“The DBM is one with the President in ensuring that our public servants feel the warmth of our Bagong Pilipinas,” she said, adding that workers “look forward to this time of the year… because it’s a well-deserved recognition of their service and sacrifice.”
