Filipinos in Dubai with scheduled consular appointments this week have been given flexibility to reschedule without penalty, as the Philippine Consulate General confirmed it will continue normal operations from March 2 to 6, 2026.
The announcement comes as UAE authorities have advised residents to shelter in place, prompting concerns among some Filipino nationals about whether consular services would be disrupted. The Consulate confirmed they would not be.
Clients who choose to stay home in line with UAE government guidance will not lose their appointment slot. Instead, they may show up on any working day in March or April 2026 — within one month of their original booking — and be served without having to secure a new appointment. Their original confirmation email serves as sufficient entry documentation.
During Ramadan, the Consulate operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and closes at noon on Fridays, with doors opening at the same 7:30 a.m. start time.
Filipinos requiring urgent assistance outside of those hours can reach the Consulate’s emergency lines directly. Passport, notarial, and civil registry concerns are handled at +971 4 220 7800, while non-OFW nationals in distress may call +971 56 501 5756. Overseas Filipino workers needing contract verification or labor-related support should contact the Migrant Workers Office–Dubai at +971 50 652 6626 or +971 56 353 5558.
