Pearl Mortera Peabody crowned first Miss Magayon Bahrain at UBB anniversary event

A milestone celebration in Bahrain drew an energetic crowd as United Bicolanos in Bahrain (UBB) marked its 13th year alongside the launch of a new cultural icon, Miss Magayon Bahrain 2025. The gathering, held at the Al Maha Ballroom in Downtown Rotana, brought expatriates and supporters together for an evening that blended heritage, artistry, and community pride.

The program opened with a tribute to UBB’s long-running work in the Filipino community, tracing its development from a small circle of volunteers to a recognized organization shaping cultural engagement in the Kingdom. Leaders reflected on the group’s history and spoke about the value of unity and the dedication of its members whose efforts carried the organization through more than a decade of service.

From the anniversary stage, the spotlight shifted to the first-ever Miss Magayon Bahrain pageant, which introduced a new ambassador meant to embody cultural identity and inspire Filipinos living abroad. Contestants showcased their talents and aspirations through segments that highlighted both traditional and contemporary expressions of Filipino pride.

Pearl Mortera Peabody emerged as the inaugural Miss Magayon Bahrain 2025, earning the crown through a standout performance that resonated with judges and attendees. The title of 1st Runner Up went to Anne Jelyn Rafael, while Bianca Marie Dela Cruz secured 2nd Runner Up.

Throughout the night, a mix of performances, artistic presentations, and emotional tributes underscored the community’s shared heritage. The dual celebration strengthened the organization’s mission while introducing its new cultural representative, who is expected to take part in activities that highlight Filipino identity in Bahrain.
