PBA to bring live basketball action to Bahrain this December

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is set to bring its high-octane action to Bahrain this December as part of its ongoing 50th season celebration.

League commissioner Willie Marcial and Bahrain Basketball Association president Alaa Mudara jointly announced the development during halftime of Game 5 of the Philippine Cup Finals.

Three PBA teams are expected to participate in the Bahrain leg, with games scheduled for December 15 and 17. While the exact team lineup remains under wraps, Marcial confirmed that one team will take the court on both playdates.

These matches come on the heels of the league’s planned Dubai stint in October, further underscoring the PBA’s push to connect with fans overseas.

Mudara welcomed the collaboration, saying, “We’re very happy to host the PBA games in Bahrain,” especially for Filipinos who can’t travel to the Philippines to watch the games live.

The Bahrain games will fall under the Philippine Cup conference, marking another milestone in the PBA’s regional outreach and commitment to globalizing Philippine basketball.
