Passenger dies onboard flight after medical emergency

A woman died on an Air France flight from Paris to Boston on Tuesday, January 14, according to an NBC News report.

Air France confirmed that a passenger on flight AF334 “was taken ill” during the journey. Despite the efforts of a doctor onboard, the woman could not be revived.

The airline expressed its condolences, stating, “Air France regrets this sad event and expresses its sincere condolences. Our crew members are regularly trained to handle these kinds of situations.”

The woman was identified as 53-year-old Barbara Dipoli from Topeka. Massachusetts State Police described her death as “unattended” and attributed it to a likely medical episode. Authorities are continuing to investigate to determine the official cause and manner of her death.
