The UAE is set to experience a significant weather change, as the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a four-day rain alert, starting today. The country, known for its arid climate, will see a departure from the norm with cloudy skies and potential rainfall.
Cloud formations, particularly in the eastern regions, are expected to be convective, increasing the likelihood of rain. Additionally, increased cloud cover over coastal areas and islands might bring night-time showers.
The NCM has forecasted that the rains will commence this evening and persist over the next three days. The weather pattern will intensify on Thursday and Friday with thunderstorms and rainfall predicted in the east, north, and along the coast.
Despite the rain, temperatures will remain warm, peaking at 34°C in Abu Dhabi and 33°C in Dubai. However, cooler nights are expected, with temperatures dropping to lows of 22°C and 21°C respectively in these emirates.
Residents can also expect light to moderate winds, contributing to slight to moderate sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and calm waters in the Oman Sea.
